Built immediately preceding the Four-year War, the ships of the Foresight Class Scout Cruisers were intended to fill the light cruiser role, scouting ahead of the fleet in battle, and in peace time, expanding the borders of the Confederation.
As the war progressed, they were heavily outclassed by the IKS D6, and had to run from any engagement with cruisers, however they were very successful in breaking up frigate squadrons. The few that survived the war were retired from front line service.
