Combine Lounge Interior without Seats

Made by
3D printed in matte translucent plastic that showcases incredibly fine and intricate details.
Product Description
This is based on actual Pullman plans for a Combination Baggage/lounge Car. I have designed these to fit in the Lima heavyweight passenger cars. It might fit in the Rivarossi and Atlas cars, but the cars would have to be modified and I have not tried to do that yet.

NOTE: The roof/window piece needs to be modified to fit correctly after installing the floor/interior piece. It will need to be sanded down so the "glass" portion is no longer than the bottom sill of the windows. Easiest way to acheive this is to put the roof on and mark the bottom of the windows with a sharp xacto blade. Remove the roof and apply a strip of tape around the whole piece on the line you made. This is your guid of how much to sand. Lay a piece of sand paper on a flat, hard object and sand until you meet the tape. This is time consuming, but allows the roof to sit flush again. A dremel tool could probably also be used on low speed, but I have not tried that.

Some part cleanup will be necessary.  The 3D printing process uses a waxy substance to support certain part features during the printing process.  Although the parts are cleaned by Shapeways, some waxy residue may remain.  It can be safely removed with water and a mild aqueous detergent like "Simple Green" using an old, soft toothbrush, Q-tips or pipe cleaners.  Customers report that "Bestine" and "Goo Gone" also work well.

During the printing process, liquid resin is cured by ultraviolet light.  Microscopic bits of resin may remain uncured.  Let your parts sit in direct sunlight for a few hours to fully cure the resin.

Water-based acrylic paints meant for plastics is strongly recommended.  Other paints, especially enamels, may not cure on Frosted Detail 3D-printed plastics.
