Product Description
The classic "see-saw" shape molecule from general chemistry. Based on the trigonal bipyramidal shape, but only 4 bonds (AX4E).
This model is based on quantum chemical calculations and accurate represents the distortion from the larger lone pair, so the equitorial F atoms clearly show a smaller angle and the axial F atoms are slightly bent out of shape.
Great for teaching purposes, particular in labs or small group-work
