Built on the same chassis as the AMX M4, the AC, short for "Auto-Canon," was a French casemate tank destroyer developed immediately after the war. The 1946 model in particular greatly resembles the German Panzerjäger V, save for the commander's cuppola with integrated coincidence rangefinder and smaller machine gun cuppola next to it (neither of them rotate). Initially, the tank destroyer was to be armed with a 100mm cannon, but later drafts of the design called for it to be up-gunned to 120mm, as the AMX M4 was up-gunned to 100mm from 90mm. To the best of my knowledge, this design never left the drawing board, but I'm no expert on French tanks.
