All of the empires sought to continually improve their ships, and the easiest upgrade path was a larger ship. By mid-war, all empires were producing heavy battlecruisers, basically a heavy cruiser hull loaded with as many extra weapons and systems as it could take. The Federation was not alone in this, and their heavy battlecruiser mounted extra heavy weapons in a “gunhouse” on the dorsal fin connecting the rear hull to the saucer. These carried phasers on the Ranger-subclass, drone racks on the Kirov-subclass, plasma-F torpedoes (bought from the Gorns) on the Bismarck-subclass, and photon torpedoes on the shock-prone New Jersey/Montana-subclass. This miniature covers all of those subclasses.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
