Golf Mk6 Hazard Garmin Mount

Garmin ball mount for Golf Mk6 variants. This should include Golf, GTI and Jetta Sportwagon 2010-1014. This arcs over hazard switch in the center of the console, above the radio. This was designed around the Garmin nuvi 2455 in protrait orientation. It places the GPS just high enough that if you tip it up you can load and unload CDs. So be warned that if you use this for other GPS/phones you may block the CD slot. The center of the ball is 56mm above the slot when installed.

This mount provides the standard Garmin 17mm ball so you can attach your existing Garmin mount or and phone holder that uses the same ball mount, like this one.

 

You will need to affix this to the dash somehow. I recommend 3M 4936 VHB Tape. 4936 is available on ebay in smaller qtys. An alternate is 3M RP62 which is used for GoPro mounts, you can get small pieces of this on Amazon.

 

Note on white: Black and all the colors are well cleaned of dust before they are dyed. But if you get white you will need to do a really good job cleaning the plastic dust off the part before bonding, soap and water and a tooth brush followed by a good dry in a warm place for a day or so.
