Chme 3 104mm long DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE SOVIET UNIONSince 1987, started production of diesel locomotives ЧМЭ3Э. On the locomotives ЧМЭ3Э as well as ЧМЭ3Т, installed electronic equipment, ensuring the realization of the maximum power of the diesel engine at low speed shaft, which was not on the locomotives ČME3, but not installed rheostatic brake.
In 1987-1989 delivery of locomotives of the CHME3 series was carried out. In 1987 experienced CHME3E # 5932 entered the USSR. In 1988, a pilot batch of 25 locomotives (No. 6220-6244) was delivered. In 1989 it was delivered 220 units (No. 5-6884).
