Tatra T6A2 overview
The Tatra T6A2 tram was developed in 1982 as the successor to the Tatra T4 model for East German cities. Like the T4, it has a narrow body (2200mm) and is adapted to operate as a "Grosszug" (two T6A2 trams + one B6A2 trailer) driven from a single cabin.
Compared to its predecessor, the tram has larger windows for better visibility for standing passengers and is lighter due to the use of modern electronic controls. However, it has lost its elaborately elegant design.
Between 1988 and 1999, 186 trams were produced for German cities including Berlin, Dresden, Magdeburg, Leipzig, Rostock, and Schwerin.
This model contains TT scale body of Tatra T6A2 tram.
