We’d like to introduce a few new GCW-Zero Analog Caps designed by our Industrial Design team to provide some different customization options for the analog stick.
Here are some cool features about the Dish Analog Cap:
Each part order includes one Dish analog cap.
A second duplicate part is attached to force both caps to be 3D printed in two opposite orientations, guaranteeing that one part is printed in the correct orientation for the best surface quality. Currently, Shapeways does not allow shops to specify print orientation, but we’ve got you covered.

To help you get started giving your GCW-Zero a full tune up, we wanted to make sure it’s easy to know if you have the right amount of parts on your order. For a full DPAD, ABXY, Start/Select, and analog cap replacement kit. You will need:
1 x New GCW-Zero DPAD
4 x New GCW-Zero ABXY Buttons
2 x New GCW-Zero Start/Select Buttons
1 x GCW-Zero Dish Analog Cap
Easy Installation
Installing a new Analog Cap is easy and doesn't require you to open your GCW-Zero. To install, very gently remove the stock Analog Cap and push the new one on. To remove, use gentle upward pressure underneath the part provided from opposite sides of the cap using a two plastic gift cards or guitar picks. It may help to rock or wiggle the part while upward pressure is applied.
Please note, the action of opening the console does not void the GCW 1 Year Warranty but any damage caused by installing these parts is not the responsibility of GCW - Games Consoles Worldwide LLC and could void your warranty.
We have seen from user feedback that with these Shapeways parts, some of the color may wear off of the parts due to heavy use but that this is only a cosmetic effect. All parts start off being white and are dyed different colors on the surface layers. When these layers wear away the white plastic below may be revealed.
Here are some cool features about the Dish Analog Cap:
- The diameter of the analog cap is has been increased for a larger more comfortable experience.
- The surface is concave, opposite of the convex stock GCW-Zero analog cap.
- The uninterrupted smooth surface provides more comfort for a larger finger size and provides plenty of surface area for your thumb.
- The thickness coming out of the console has been reduced compared to the other two new Analog Caps making it the most streamlined and low profile of the three.
