Product Description
The Great Western Railway built these vans in 1929 to carry meat in chilled conditions. They differed from earlier MICA in that they were longer, had different roof hatch and end vent arrangements. The prototypes lasted on British Railways into the 1960s. In GWR ownership they were painted white with red lettering.
Unlike the original Hornby Doubleo or Wrenn model this has the correct roof hatch and end details for the Standard RCH chassis. To build a complete wagon you will need:
1 x DAPOL 10ft wagon chassis (WCHASS10) or equivalent Wrenn/Hornby Doublo version;
1 x No.6 x 13mm self tapping screw (to hold the body to the chassis);
Wire (for handrails),
paint and transfers.
