I have yet to test this model on my layout fully so I am releasing it as a BETA product.
This 3D print is for the unique 8 wheeled tender underframe. It is designed to be a direct fit for the Hornby (ex Dapol) GWR 4000 gallon Collett tender body.
To complete you will need the above tender body, spoked 14mm wheels (four axels) as the real tender was fitted with smaller 3'8" diameter wheels. I used Gibson wheels on the model shown with the pinpoint axels supplied. However, to enable the tender to traverse 2' radius curves do not be tempted to insert brass bearings.
Prototype Notes
Tender No. 2586 built in 1931) was withdrawn in Nov 1963 with Hall class 5904.
It had also been behind 5001, 5919, 5001, 5032, 5071, 5049, 5017, 6951, 5068, 4043, 4093, 4918, and 5957
