My friend Meg was born with neurofibromatosis (NF) and in February 2012, she was
diagnosed with a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST), a rare and aggressive cancer. After radiation and chemotherapy, Meg was cancer-free for 8 months before it returned. She and her doctors at John Hopkins are now fighting her cancer a second time. Throughout it all, she has kept an amazing attitude, always baking cookies for her doctors and nurses and even though she is currently undergoing chemo, it did stop her from skydiving on August 17, 2014. : )
In her honor, I made this Standing Cancer Ribbon. It's a little smaller than a soda can and reads, "Though she be but little, she is fierce."
These ribbons are marked up one dollar. Any proceeds I get, I'll be sending along to the Children's Tumor Foundation.
P.S. I recently made a version with different text for
celebrating the 30 year anniversary of Relay for Life. If you covet different text, message me or go to the
Standing Cancer Ribbon - Customizable and hit
