The Vector Equilibrium is made from 12 vectors of equal length emanating from a central point.

The Vector Equilibrium or Cuboctahedron has 12 identical vertices, with two triangles and two squares meeting at each, and 24 identical edges, each separating a triangle from a square.  It is not a Platonic Solid.  It is what is referred to as an Archimedean Solid.  

This version omits the outer hexagon normally present in an orthographic view of a Vector Equilibrium or Cuboctahedron.
