Yaw mechanism plays a vital role on a tricopter. Yet most solutions are either too much a hassle, or requires too many rare parts. The Yaw Mechanism V2 is designed for rigidity, reliability, and most importantly, hassle-free assembly. It is based on common HXT900-sized servos(12mm by 23mm). You can use HXT900 directly, or tons of metal gear digital servos, e.g. Turnigy S306G(http://bit.ly/1aBV5KE). It is designed for such servos to fit into neatly, so you don't have to modify your servo.

Forget hard-to-source carbon rods. The only part you need (besides the screws) is a 3mm motor shaft (40mm or longer). It will tight fit to the bottom part of the yaw mechanism, and allow the upper part to rotate smoothly. You can get it from a broken 2826 motor, or just order it for less than $1 from most hobby shops (http://bit.ly/17EXDEj).

The advantage is obvious - motor shafts are readily available, cheap yet rigid parts, they are almost designed for this application. No matter if you're a beginner in tricopters, or an experienced pilot, this is the yaw mechanism you don't want to miss!
