Geometry:
Bicopter 6 is the result of a thought experiment. My "HeliPrism" series of puzzles started with three-sided prisms, then four-sided, five-sided, and upwards (potentially infinitely). But what if the number of sides of the prism were reduced below three? One possible answer to this question is the Bicopter 6, a pillowed two-sided prism with six axes of rotation.
Other Items Needed:
Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can save money by dyeing the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon. Or Shapeways can dye the parts for you at an additional cost.
Stickers: Template available in the tips & how-tos forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers or Chewie's Custom Stickers.
Screws: Three 8mm M3 flat head screws required, available in hardware stores or on the web.
Degree of Difficulty:
Assembly: Small pieces require some dexterity to assemble.
Solving: Moderately easy to solve.
Playability:
Bicopter 6 turns easily, and the mechanism is stable.
Have fun!
