Product Description

This mod (when combined with the C-Frame Shell) measure 98mm (h) x 65mm (d) x 28mm (w).  It is specifically designed for either the MultiStar Race Spec 3S 1400mAh 40-80C (Part # 9210000119-0) or Turnigy nano-tech 1400mah 3S 40~80C (Part # 9210000009). A battery measuring equal to or less than 86mm x 35mm x 20mm would also likely work, but I recommend a battery with a width of less than 20mm since the width spacing isn't forgiving.  A less powerful alternative battery is the Venom 1300mah 35C (Part # 15108).

The DNA200 board is secured with three of these screws http://www.mcmaster.com/#96817a744/=y745g3 (M1.2mm x 3mm). This enclosure is designed to work specifically with 22mm Varitube 510 http://www.varitube.com/510-Connector--Self-adjusting-Center-Pin--14mm-22mm-285mm-Smooth-Top-22mm_p_141.html (the FDV V4 profile 510 is a tad too long to allow room for the output wires).

This screen clamp goes between the DNA200 board and is designed to have the board rest on it. While the DNA200 is screwed down it will apply pressure to the screen and keep it in the screen cutout on the mod. My suggestion is to place the screen in the mod and then place the clamp in before resting the DNA200 in the mod to screw down.

The battery door is secured with a tongue/groove orientation along the top and back. The fit is pretty tight as is and the door will not come off in normal operation. There are two screw holes along the back bottom that keep the door locked in place (especially helpful if your wire management isn’t that good), but they really aren't necessary for this particular design. I use them for added security and to keep my children from opening the mod up.  The appropriate screws are found here http://www.mcmaster.com/#96817a787/=y74cb7zzz and are sized M1.4 x 6mm.

Keep in mind that this design has 4mm thick walls minimum for external fire and safety to meet UL 94 requirements.  Many less expensive enclosure designs are using 1mm-2mm walls, which are less stable and offer little protection from external fire sources and external puncture in a drop event.  The result is a slightly higher cost, but the box is solid and takes LiPo safety into account.

I have successfully printed this so the alignment should be fine, but as is the case with all 3D printing materials, print variance does occur. Some sanding and adjustment may be required.
