Lessons learned: Material takes a polish: requires significant surface grinding. Bevels are to be strongly avoided under 1 or 2 mm: Material spalls; upper-flat-screwdriver deformed explosively. Pry-bar bevels excellent, but too brittle (more or less: material structure not sound for tool use without alteration): Material heat-treated (Pre-heat @ 400' F, 1400'F soak @ .5 hr, Oil quench, Temper @ 500' F 20 min, Cryo quench, Temper @ 450 20 min, water quench), bevels still spall. Flame Hardened all bevels to cherry-red, re-tempered, less spall; Ground all bevels to minimum stated earlier. Will test more on this broken one.
