This pendant is modeled after the unusual and exotic shape of the King Protea flower, Protea cynaroides. The genus Protea was named after the form-changing Greek god Proteus by Carl Linnaeus because of the diversity of its floral shapes. Protea, also known as sugarbushes, are native to South Africa, South America, Australia and parts of Asia.
Pendant shown was printed in 14K goldplated brass. The pendant is 3.6 cm (1.4 inches) long and 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) wide.
