Product Description
A  Gauge 1 model of the London & Birmingham 2nd class carriage from Lt. Peter LeCount RN,  Plate CCCCXXIX , "Practical Treatise on Railways", published in the 7th edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, 1839. End view and chassis detail from S.C.Brees "Railway practice" published in various editions up to 1848, and also described in Francis Wishaw, "Railways in Great Britain and ireland", 1842.

This vehicle appears to be a conversion from an open third. Note that it is a completely different size from the third also depicted by LeCount. The large brake gear wheel will foul the running wheel in that corner and will
need to be cut away to clear.

As far as is known, this model is an accurate represtentation of the original 2nd class carriages used on the L&BR from 1837.

This is a complete one-piece 3D model printed in sintered nylon to gauge 1 (10mm/ft) scale. Requires paint, couplings and Slaters split spoke wheels to complete. Window glazing is by microscope slide glass.
