Product Description

How would you rescue someone if you can't even find them?

The hardest part in Search and Rescue missions would be to actually find the individual who is needing of help. This attachment will aid in searching and rescuing people in need. The accessory attaches to the legs of the phantom 3 and has two mounts.

The first mount is used to attach connectors to the drone. Connectors then are fully adjustable and can be placed in any position. An iPhone 6 case then attaches to the connectors. How will this aid in searching for people who needs to be rescued? Simple. The iPhone will have an accessory attached to it. A thermal camera will be the one aiding the search(link found in the list of necessary parts).  The dji camera will have the thermal imaging in its point of view which is then viewed by the pilot. Since the connectors are fully adjustable, the iphone can be moved with user preference.

The second mount is for an attached 'hook.' It is aimed to be used to carry any needed emergency supplies like walkie talkies, first aid kit, etc and can even be used to deliver a life jacket. This hook will be folded up towards the front of the drone before it takes off resting under the camera guard. When the drone takes off, the hook will straighten out with the weight of the load. When the individual is spotted by the thermal imaging, the pilot of the drone could then send initial help by flying the drone to the individual's location and dropping off the supplies. For example, if it is a water rescue, the drone could slowly lower the life jacket into the water. The hook has a rubber band(part of necessary component list) attached to the back side of the camera protector and the back of the hook. When there is no downward force, like life jacket  lowered on water, the rubber band will pull the hook backwards and fold up almost parallel to the drone. While the rescue helicopter is on the way, the individual can receive some emergency supplies.

This accessory attaches to the phantom 3 legs.
