3D printed in white nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.
Product Description
1:300 scale OT-62 TOPAS (armoured personnel carrier). The OT-62 was an APC produced by Czechoslovakia from 1962 to 1968 (and to 1972 for export models). The OT-62 is similar to the earlier Soviet BTR-50PK, but with various modifications, such as side doors allowing easier entrance to the cab, twin cupolas on the front glacis, and a small turret mounting a machine gun and an 82 mm recoilless rifle. The OT-62 was withdrawn from front-line Czechoslovakian service from the 1970s, being replaced by the BVP-1, although it was kept on in certain roles, such as training in river crossings, due to its superior amphibious capabilities, and was still kept in reserve until after the dissolution of the state. Exported examples still serve in a number of countries. As a new model, I have yet to print this model out and test it for myself. NOTE: there is a small hole in the turret in which a short length of 0.3 mm diameter wire needs to be inserted to represent the machine gun; likewise a length of 0.5 mm diameter wire should be attached to the right side of the turret in the slight recess provided. Both of these items are too thin to be printed out in plastic.
