Sun Mask Tea Light Holder was inspired by the Northwest Coast Salish traditional design. In Salish tradition, the Sun represents the life giving force. All life is dependent on the Sun fulfilling its job. With the addition of an electric tea light, the Sun Mask spreads light and traditional Salish life force into your room.
For electric tea lights only. Not to be used with tea light candles! This particular sun mask deign is entirely original and created from scratch using the traditional Coast Salish design elements; the ovid, the circle and the u. From these simple yet bold figures the unique artwork of the Pacific Coast First Nations is created. As for the artist, I live on Vancouver Island, just off the coast of British Columbia, and as a quadriplegic I create my designs using graphic software, my computer, and of course my vivid imagination.
