Hypothetical 054R, 1/1800

While the hypothetical 057 frigate:

is improbable due to the lack of demand of such "mid-class" ships, the Russian Navy on the other hand is building a ASEA carrying frigate. However, due to problems with mastering the first ASEA and domestically producing the propulsion unit, the project 22350 was facing considerable difficulty.

A good alternative is to buy a heavily modified 054 frigate from China that can be equipped with similar abilities. With the heavily modified hypothetical 057 frigate, this can be done by addition of Russian electronics and the replacement of weapons with Russian ones (i.e. Club/P-800 missiles + Russian VLS + Russian CIWS).
