Product Description

This part is intended to be used in building a 1/6 model of the Lunar Rover (LRV). This is the pointing mechanism for the High Gain Antenna (HGA) and the optical pointing system. There are three separate parts so the HGA can be pointed in the right direction and with the right elevation. Furthermore the optical device is also separate so it can be rotated in any direction.

The mean elevation of the antenna for a levelled LRV was about 68° for Apollo 15, 75° for Apollo 16 and 45° for Apollo 17.
