Product Description
Based on a Great Northern CTC bungalow in Bison, MT. These were common CTC bungalows found throughout the Great Northern Railway system and existed through the Burlington Northern and BNSF eras as well. All dimensions are accurate aside from two aspects.
(Dimensions are actual and need to be scaled down as appropriate to HO)
Each door requires two handles on each door located opposite the hinges roughly 2" off the vertical door edge where the door opens. One is located 15 3/4" from the head and the other is located 20 1/4" above the threshold. These handles are L-shaped and extend 2 1/2" from the door face and extend with a 4 3/4" long handle which is 3/4" diameter. The handle hangs down in it's closed position. Wire and a mini-drill are recommended here at the builders discretion.
(Dimensions are actual)
All ribs have been widened by 3/4" to make them easier to print and resistant to damage. An additional 1/4" over that was added to the corners.
If other scales are desired, please contact me. If there is enough interest, I may rescale the bungalow.
This model would not be possible without the field photos, measurements, and research of Ron Ferrel. Thank you so much.
