1929 Oakland This bracket holds the ignition switch. There is also a clamp that goes with this LCP0102-2 (purchased separately). This bracket was originally made out of zinc so most people will NOT need a replacement but only need the mating part, but if your bracket is missing or damaged, you can buy this one in a variety of materials: white ABS plastic or if you can afford it, purchase a metal version. I have modified the design from the original by enlarging the gusset for greater strength. The original clamp that mates with this bracket was made from pot metal and has usually fallen apart in the last 80 years, so you can buy one to replace it (LCP0102-2). If you need a DIFFERENT Ignition Switch Bracket for another type of vehicle, just contact me. **** THIS PART IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT. IT HAS NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED AS CORRECT BY AN OWNER OF A 1929 OAKLAND **** I suggest you buy the cheapest material and confirm that this part will work for you. Please contact me if it works or with suggestions to improve it. You will get your development parts at a discounted rate if you work with me on the design or it's final approval. Recommended material: Plastic or Steel ( paint them yourself )
