3D printed in dark blue, richly colored nylon plastic with a smooth finish.
This 1:12 scale modern designer chair is inspired by the Chair First at Herman Miller. It looks great in a dining room setting or as a single accent chair anywhere in your house. The original is 31" tall, this 1:12 scale version is 2.583" tall.
All of my models are MINIATURES and NOT full-sized items. All items are intended for collectors, and are not suitable for young children.
Due to the nature of 3D printing you will see print lines, or "stepping" phenomena on this model, which is a natural artifact of 3D printing using the SLS process. SLS printing works by printing layer by layer, and while Shapeways layers are around 0.12mm thin, there is a "step" between each layer, much like a staircase. The top of the seat feels smoother, but the stepping is noticeable on the bottom. Please see detailed photos and contact with my any questions.
The chairs are designed to look amazing as is but with a coat of paint they look even more fabulous.
