Product Description
Upgrading your steelcase drawer rollers or replacing missing rollers is a great way to enjoy your classic mid century modern tanker desk.

When upgrading or replacing your roller you need to figure out which style works for your desk. To date the styles are either "original" or "narrow". In the past couple years most of the rollers that I have encountered are wider and use a oring as a cushioning feature and have retaining pins, this is what I refer to as "Original".  The "Narrow" style rollers do not have o-rings and the desk base mounted rollers do not use retaining pins.

The ball bearing upgrade design doesn't use retaining pins as a press fit keeps the parts retained together on the desk.

See the  youTube video showing the difference between ball bearing rollers versus the original style, and how to assemble the rollers.  The video is applicable to both the "Original" and "Narrow" style rollers.

To acquire the ball bearings use the following term for search on either eBay or Amazon, "10x19x5mm".  You will save if you buy a quantity of 10 or more.  You will want to get double shielded bearings. The bearings have a 10mm inside diameter, 19mm outside diameter, and are 5mm thick.

For the Original style you will need two each of the following p/n's per drawer:

OSCRID1
OSCRID2
OSCROD1

For the Narrow style you will need two each of the following p/n's per drawer:

NSCRID1
NSCRID2
NSCROD1
