I designed these weapons closely based on some very cool illustrators that Alec and his team did with their Kickstarter - Turbo Rally. They had the cards for the game but not the 3D weapons to complete the game cars, so I offered to help them out with these being the result which are scaled (1/64th) to suit a Jada Car and other brands similar like M2 Machines etc. NOTE: THESE ARE APPROXIMATELY 25% LARGER THAN THE HOTWHEELS VERSIONS IN MY SHAPEWAYS STORE.
You don't have to have the game to get these, as you can buy a set and do a small project with your kids to customise your kids cars just for fun and let their imagination go wild.
or use them in other car games with weapons like this cool kickstarter game
To fit simply, remove the joiner branch at the diameter change. You can either drill a small hole in the roof or bonnet to suit the diameter of the post on the weapon OR trim the post fully and glue the weapon to the roof or bonnet of the car. Before fastening you can paint up the parts to make them look a little more realistic if you wish so select a colour to print that best suits your ideas. Note that the Black will be a little more powdery so painting and gluing maybe a little harder.
NOTE: Even though Shapeways successfully passed these designs it appears they are having issues with the tumbling process for the polished plastic option - as parts are catching and breaking. Therefore the only materials available is the black and white plastic which is a little more grainer in texture than the discontinued polished option and then I have opened the detailed plastic which uses a different material so a little more expensive but a little more detailed. My apologies for any inconvenience but check out the cool video.
