PLA[N] 054B, 1/2400

Like most unrevealled Chinese ships in construction, there are numerous rumors of what the 054B will look like and chances are most if not all of them are just wrong. However, the most conservative guess, considering the rumored mission that the 054A is very satisfactory and major design changes will probably not occur in 054B, a possible proposal is to maintain the 054A design except:

1. Lengthen the helipad to accommodate larger helicopter

2. Installation of a stealthy octagon mast

3. Replacing rear mast radar with a ASEA

4. enlarge SSM launcher for bigger missiles.

Rather than a new design, this is much more like a "054A++" design with moderate changes from the previous ones. Since most guesses of what the 054B looks like are probably wrong, this ship is put into the "Never Were" section.
