Product Description
This is a 7mm:1ft model of the 10' wb 17'6" OHS (except that it has no headstocks) chassis designed to fit under the 7mm:1ft model of the GWR O35 medium fitted open wagon (which comes with headstocks).

I'm sure it could be used for other models, too, and if you need it without the vacuum cylinder, or with separate brake pushrod assemblies so that you can make it 2-shoe or dual side independent, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

The buffers and hooks are there on a sprue if you want them, but you can probably fit nicer ones. In fact I'm going to upload them separately and with thinner discs so that they can be printed in the smooth fine detail plastics.

This is the second iteration of the design, the first got some feedback to the effect that the V-hangers and leaf springs were too far back under the solebars, and the buffers were too spindly.  These defects (my fault) have now been corrected, and some improvements made (hopefully) to the fitting arrangements (holes in the back of the axleboxes) for the brass bearings and Slater's wheels.

I suggest Grey PA12 is a relatively inexpensive material for a try and probably the best all round. This has a slightly fluffy surface texture but takes dark inks and paints pretty well. You can smooth the fluff off and underneath it is smooth, shiny and hard. The model seems a bit pricey for a chassis in the smoothest fine detail plastic, but more reasonable in the ordinary smooth fine detail plastic. I see no advantage in white or black strong versatile plastic which are also rather expensive at this size, as is smooth black PA12, but plain black PA12 looks a nice option then all you need do it 'weather' it! I'll offer it in everything I can, and the choice (and risk) are yours.
Possibly future developments:
A - let's have a full underframe instead of a plain oblong hole in the middle, and we can model the top of the vacuum cylinder as well.
B - Slaters wheels spin rather well even if the brass bearings are left out, though that is not the intention. Maybe they would run even better if I make the holes fit the axles like the bearings do, and not use the brass bearings at all.
C - printed sprung buffers, now wouldn't that be a gas?
