Highly detailed 80-Ton 9-Axle Lowboy Gooseneck Trailer in HO scale, scaled down from drawings of a real trailer. This model features the ramps in the up position, the gooseneck in the haul position, a Three Axle Jeep Dolly in the Front, and a 3 Axle Booster Dolly in the rear. Commonly known as a 3+3+3 configuration. Trailer comes in two pieces, lowboy and jeep dolly. The Rear half of the Booster dolly is molded to the underside of the rear of the lowboy. Simply cut it off and assemble. Assembly of the Booster is as easy as setting the kingpin on the front half of the Booster inside the rear half of the Booster. Since the Booster Dolly is two pieces, it will pivet. You will also need a Fifth Wheel Plate from Herpa/Promotex for the jeep dolly. It should fit snugly into the holes in the frame. Once installed, the kingpin from the lowboy will simply drop into place on the jeep dolly.
You will need the following to complete the model:
Herpa/Promotex Fifth Wheel
For the most detail on the decking I would suggest using HO scale lumber. See my other models for more configurations.
