My name is Daniel Borhegyi and I’m in sixth grade at Bigelow Middle School in Newton, Massachusetts. I enjoy playing Minecraft with my friends and my brother. I also am very interested in cool technologies such as 3D printing, programming, and computers. This is a Minecraft inspired print including two action figures, two weapons, and a base. The figures and weapons are on the ground so it is optimized for printing and will be well supported during the printing process. This print will interest people because it has some fun uses; such as battle games and cool displays. There are also some practical uses; if you look on the pommel of the sword you will see a mini wrench. Also the arrow's tip is a mini screwdriver, making this print productive and fun. I thought of this design as soon as I saw the announcement of the contest and I thought I would make a cool mid-action minecraft battle set. Then when I saw the instruction saying to include in the description "why others would want to print it", I thought I could make it more practical, hence screwdriver and wrench. Then I had a basic idea, so I started to design it using Tinkercad. Once I started building the characters I realized that a mid-action position would be very difficult to print. So I decided to make the characters’ weapons and the characters themselves untethered so that they could be printed easily and played with as pleased. The whole design took about four hours and a lot of work and effort to build. I hope this print can be productive and fun to all!
