The Hydrans are an unusual species that live on the far side of the Klingon Empire, along the edge of the galaxy. They are enemies of the Klingons and Lyrans, and were conquered by those empires at one point, only to drive the invaders out decades later. Hydrans breathe methane and live on cold type-S gas giants on silicate continents floating on liquid methane oceans.

The Hydran Dragoon is a heavy cruiser, this one armed with long-range hellbores instead of short-ranged fusion beams of its half-brother, the Ranger. The hellbore versions carried fewer fighters (in this case three) because of the space needed for extra APRs to power the hellbores.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
