Product Description
The F5W was the destroyer the Klingons always wanted, but it did not appear until the middle of the General War. Unlike the F5 from which it was derived, the F5W was a true destroyer, able to stand and fight any other destroyer or war destroyer in the Alpha Octant. It was 15% bigger than an F5, with more powerful engines and more weapons. The F5’s disruptors were moved from the wing roots to the engines, freeing hull space for extra weapons. The F5W war destroyer was designed for pure main force combat, standing in a fleet battle wing and dealing death and destruction. The defensive wing phasers (able to cover the forward arc as the original rear phasers could not) made it all but drone-proof and allowed it to concentrate its disruptors and main phasers on the enemy. The B version of this ship adds windows to the front of the ship and the boom, making it more closely resemble the original metal Starline 2500 miniature.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
