Product Description
This is a variant of the 55t Armour Plate truck model, N-gauge / 2mm:1ft scale, like those built by the LMS before WW2. The differences from the almost identical 55t BR model are:
(1) LMS style solebar detail (the differences will be very hard to see)
(2) Round Buffers instead of oval (more noticeable)
(3) Bogies have no tie-bars between the axleguards on the pre-war builds (definitely visible)
Another difference is that I have slightly enlarged the flanges on the 5.5mm 3-hole disc wheels (2'9") to make them more like those on commercially available N-gauge wheels, and so hopefully run better. I used to make them a bit smaller to reduce the risk of printing problems, but I don't think that is necessary. Parkside Dundas 5.5mm wheels will surely run better still and add weight, but I think they only make 5.5mm N-gauge wheels with curved spokes (for OO-9 mine trucks) and this may be visible close-up.
Oh and there's a 1.6mm diameter hole in the bogie pivots on this one, to allow for other methods of retaining the bogies.
To complete the model you will need 4 handbrake wheels, ideally 5-curve-spoked ones, though they did get replaced with other patterns. My Shapeways model of those will do, if you don't have brass etched ones to hand (e.g. Ultima).
Please note: the bogies have NEM coupling pockets one end, and self-acting N-gauge couplings the other end, which should work nicely if you clean out the support wax and grease. Take care when cleaning (ask me if you don't know how) and also when cutting off the ones you don't want to use. I can upload a model of spares for you if it goes wrong.
Another Note: My one of these developed some bogie distortion during cleaning (in hot water) which didn’t resolve by itself when it was dry, meaning the wheels did not stay in very well. I fixed this by dipping them in hot water for about 20 seconds and gently bending the  top to make it properly flat and the frames to make them properly vertical, and move the axleboxes on opposite sides a bit closer together.
