Product Description
This model of contains two double stranded DNA molecules separated into four single strands forming the cross-shaped structure known as a Holliday Junction. Named after British Geneticist Robin Holliday, this structure is known to occur during meiosis to recombine genetic material. This results in new combinations of DNA for gamete cells, like sperm and eggs, to increase the genetic diversity.
