3125 Scale Romulan Freight Eagle MGL

The ships of this class are variants of the 100-year-old Warbird cruisers converted to use warp power and modern equipment. The construction of large numbers of warships put a strain on the Romulan economy and shipyard capacity that did not allow a formal fleet tug design to enter production. The solution was to continue using earlier sublight Freight Eagles by refitting them to modern standards, and to convert surplus War Eagle cruisers and Warbirds to this design by removing the plasma-R torpedo and adding more internal cargo volume. The Freight Eagle can carry a cargo sled pallet but cannot carry cargo pods. As with virtually all of the Eagle series ships, the Freight Eagle is able to land on planets. It can land and take off while carrying a cargo sled.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. (Smooth Fine Detail Plastic makes an excellent cloaked ship!) Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
