Two Midland railcars worked in New Zealand's South Island from 1936-1941. This shell is at a scale of 1:120 and has holes pre-formed for fitting door handrails and a cowcatcher.
An etched brass cowcatcher is available from Marks Model Works (NZ$5) https://marksmodelworks.weebly.com/kits-and-bits.html
A Kato 11-104 mechanism can be modified (ends cut off) and fitted under this shell to provide a motorised 4-wheel chassis. An article on this is shown in the June 2018 edition of theNew Zealand Model Railway Journal.
