Product Description
These are a pair of keyboard brackets specifically designed for the Ultimate64 by Gideon (board version 1.2 was used in the design process).
What you have here is a pair of keyboard brackets specifically designed for the Commodore 64c case.
The left keyboard bracket is a stand alone bracket, that attaches to factory motherboard mount locations on your 64c case. It has an embossed U64 on the side of the bracket.
The right keyboard bracket mounts to factory motherboard locations on the base of the case and as such, all of the weight of the keyboard (and vigorous typing) is entirely supported by the bottom of the case. This mount does not sit on top of the Ultimate64 board. I didn't feel the board had sufficient support to make that option safe. This keyboard mount has further been designed to allow easy installation and routing of the keyboard connector to the board.
The screw mount locations (for attaching the keyboard to the keyboard mount) are designed to accept M3 brass heatsets/black oxide screws and stainless steel washers. These are available through my COREi64.com shop. They are easily installed by pressing them in with the tip of a soldering iron from the top.
