Product Description
Whilst building my new layout I devised an easy way to align the holes for SEEP point solenoids/motors.

As is often, once you have established exactly where your points are going, jam the point blades with some card or scrap material to be in the central position, then with a pen or small screw driver, bradawl etc carefully mark the baseboard through the holes in the tie bar, then place a mark either side of the tie bar so you have 3 marks.  Remove the point/turnout and draw a line through these 3 points and extend it so the line is 8-10cm.  Drill the centre hole out no wider than 1.5-2mm.

Now with the smaller rectangle (once de-sprued) place the long edge on the line so that the centre mark/hole is now a tiny semi circle and whilst keeping it in place with finger pressure draw a line on the other side of the rectangle.  You should now have two parellel lines.

Slide the rectangle so that it is now in between these lines and apply finger pressure, now get the bigger rectangle and using the centre hole in it, sight through it to the center hole/mark on the baseboard and butt it up to the smaller rectangle.

At this point you can now transfer finger pressure to the larger rectangle and ignore the smaller rectangle as it has now done its job, the whole point of the smaller rectangle is to keep the larger one parellel so the larger one gives no twist when sighting the center holes.

At this point you can simply drill through the holes of the larger rectangle through into your baseboard.  Make sure you have the larger rectangle the correct way around otherwise you'll have to drill two more holes!
