Product Description
A set of 4x 1:16 MX-6707/VRC antenna basees which are a part of AS-1729/VRC Antenna system, widely used on western military vehicles from the late sixties until today. The AS-1729/VRC antanna operates as a vehicular antenna in the following radio sets: AN/VRC-12 through AN/VRC-49, AN/VRC-53, AN/VRC 64, AN/VRC- 65, AN/VRC-6550, and AN/GRC-160, as well as many other VHF Radio Sets that require vehicular installation. The AS-1729/VRC is designed for use on the outside of jeeps, tanks, armored-personnel carriers, weapons carriers, or crew served weapons. This set gives you two "straight" antenna bases as seen in vehicles that are stopped and transmitting, and two "bent" antenna bases that let you show the antannae tied down, which is often seen on vehicles that are on the move. The antenna element itself is meant to be made out of stretched sprue or guitar wire. This set is valuable for scratchbuilders building a 1:16 model of almost any modern NATO vehicle.
