This spoon evolved out of a series of prototypes from a project that meant being able to help a person in need. This was the version best fitting to the needed measurements, after we tested about 10 different spoons. As the person in need was too far away, nearly on the other side of the globe, I decided to upload the spoon here without any profit for me, so that it is orderable from many places around the world for anyone not having a printer on its own.
Important info on food safety!!!!! The materials I chose here for the spoon are NOT food-safe!!!!!
Sadly the spoon is too delicate for shapeways ceramics material. I also do not take any responsibility for any damage caused in using the spoons or the info I provide here in any way.
General Info on Food Safety and 3D Printing
I found info on food safe mold making and food safe resin but there is more than just using food safe materials to producing foodsafe objects (e.g. material of mold, surface structure of the finished product...). I couldn't find any "food safe/grade" resin in europe(Germany), maybe due to different regulations. I found info on Injection Molding with certain materials that are said to be food safe (like PET https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_contact_materials

All my Shapeways items are non-Profit, I do not earn any money with this.
Shapeways gives me the possibility to get my designs in materials I could not print myself and why not give people all over the world the chance to get them too. It all started with these small spoons and a reach out for help from the other side of the world :D
