Product Description
The smallest Strandbeests ever! Theo Jansen’s 3D printed Strandbeests are also evolving to micro scale, so they can also survive in small nooks and crannies. Measuring just 8 cm in length, while still incorporating 74 moving interlocking parts, this nano-Strandbeest is a showcase for the accuracy possible with the latest in 3D printing technology.
Note: This Strandbeest is printed with the Multijet Modeling (MJM) technology. Consequently, this Strandbeest should be handled a bit more gently than the regular Strandbeest, it is a baby-Strandbeest after all. Also, MJM material is a UV cured acrylic polymer. Because of this, the color of the material can turn more yellow due to exposure to sunlight. The plus side to this is that it will resemble the color of Theo Jansen’s original PVC Strandbeests more this way!
