So this game is a combination of those two games, and to play it I designed a "chess-style" piece for all 52 cards of a card deck. Basically you take turns like in Scrabble, placing between one and five pieces on the board at a time, except instead of words, you have to line up the pieces to make poker hands.

To start, each player gets 5 pieces at random (lucky dip style- put the pieces in a bag and pull them out), and the first player (decide order by drawing pieces from the bag) places a "hand" of up to 5 pieces across the centre of the 91-space hex grid.

Every new turn means adding onto the pieces that are already there (or redrawing from the spares if you can't go), so that means adjacent pieces must either be paired, suited, or in sequence (partial flushes/straights are allowed, but don't get multipliers - see below).

Scoring:

Your score for the turn is made up of the values of the pieces in the "hand" or "hands" of up to 5 pieces in a row which are created. (NB If building onto the end of a pre-existing line of pieces, you only count the five pieces at the new end).

Each numbered piece (2-10) is worth it's value, while J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13, and A = 14.
If all you can do is place an adjacent piece which is the same suit or in sequence, no multiplier applies.
If your turn creates one or two pair, the multiplier is 2x.
If your turn creates three of a kind, the multiplier is 3x
If your turn creates a straight, flush, or full house, the multiplier is 4x
and if your turn creates a four of a kind or straight flush, the multiplier is 5x.
