Product Description
Made for MacGregor sailboats with a mast profile B3 and a feed slot length of 7 1/2" and Track Depth of 20.7mm.
My Youtube video of the older version insert required a wire pull tool. This new single-piece version only needs a needle nose, fishing plier, or tweezer to squeeze and pull out.
The White Nylon texture can be dyed a color. Black for best UV protection, dyed Orange for best viewing by crew members.
Made for MacGregor M26X,S,D,V / will bridge a spread open feed slot of 7 1/2" long by 3/4" spread wide track.
Use the hole of the plastic insert as a drill guide to mart the location to Drill and Tap a hole into the back web, then install a 6-32 x 3/16" stainless set set-screw. Set the screw head of the set-screw to mate into the hole of the plastic insert to prevent sliding out of position during reefing and hoisting.
Do not cut tips for fitting. contact Tom Luque info@MastGates.com to request help or a different size.
My preference is to restore the shape of the spread open track and cut a single 3" feed slot to be able to have a Self-Closing MastGate for single-handed sail operations. Request instructions on How-To restore the track from TomLuQue@gmail.com
