1/64 8" 32' Inline Drive Grain Auger, Electric

This is a 1/64 8" 32' grain auger. It is an electric inline drive auger. Almost everything is inlcuded in this kit to build the auger. You will need some wire for the pivot points. I use jewelry head pins to keep the wheels on the carriage. Assembly is not too difficult if you have experience with this type of work. Assembly should be straight forward. Look up pictures of an 8"x32' Mayrath auger for more guidance.

Due to the nature of the product, pieces may be warped. To fix this, run part under hot water and slowly bend. Do not bend too much or pieces will break. This may take several attempts. Be patient and you can eventually fix them.

For mounting the two halves of the carriage, I glued wire into the small holes on both sides of the upper chassis (the half that the tires do NOT mount on). Then spread the bottom chassis apart to allow pins to slide into pivot holes. 

I glued a small strip of styrene on the track once assembled to keep chassis from falling off track. Comes with 2 different spouts. 

Auger wants to tip when lowered down. It may be beneficial to insert a small metal rod in the bottom half of the auger to keep the auger from tipping. 

The electric drive shield should have two locator holes. The hole that is centered toward the bottom mounts on the small stub sticking out on the auger gearbox. The hole in the top corner of the shield is for the shaft on the electic motor. Looking at the auger with the hopper closest to you, the motor goes on the right side. The motor included is a 7.5 HP motor.
