Kidder Frame 16' Truckbase

Frame for Ken Kidder 2-truck Birney plastic body shell. Frame is designed to use Bachmann Peter Witt motor and trucks and is made with a 16' truckbase. Some modification of the Bachmann trucks in the areas of the universals will be necessary because of the shorter truckbase. Frame does not attach to the body in the manner of the original frame; we have included four locators at the corners of the frame for use with new mounting lugs to be made from styrene blocks, mounted in the body and drilled/tapped through the holes. You will also need some self-adhesive copper tape for use under the frame at the sides for the Bachmann pickup wipers to contact, in the manner of the original model. Also, holes are provided at the ends of the frame for the original Kidder fenders, if you desire to use them.
