Product Description
Two 1/32 scale steel drums which are known as 55-gallon drums in the U.S., 44-gallon drums in the UK, and 200-Litre drums in most other countries. They appear as trash cans or oil drums, depending upon how you set them up.Each drum has 2 plugs (bungs) in one closed end. Install with this end up and you have a closed-top drum like those used to store oil.
The other end is open. Inside each barrel are 8 beer/soda cans connected by sprue. To use drum as a trash barrel, remove beer cans and easily color/paint while on the sprue. Put some trash of your own making in the drum and add beer cans. Sprinkle a little sawdust on top and you'll have a dead ringer for the real thing.
Drums are accurately scaled models of those typically used in the U.S. from 1965 - 2000. These drums were commonly used at auto races as trash cans. They are perfect for 1/32 scale race tracks and road courses. The diameter of each drum at the rib is .72". The height is 1.08".
Colored drums are first printed in white and then dyed. Consequently, a small white spot may be visible where sprue is cut away from drums. Felt tip pens work well for coloring cans and drums printed in light colors.
