Product Description
This is a combination turntable "pit,", runoff trestle, and retaining wall, modeled after the 60' turntable at Stuart, VA on the Danville & Western Ry. The central hole is 3/8" diameter, to register over a 3/8" rod or tube. One 9' tie is included on the retaining wall, to help align everything properly. The spike detail is designed to accept Micro Engineering code 55 rail. The prototype had no pit, only the 14' retaining wall where the track entered and a trestle on the opposite side. The trestle is a scale 39' long. The prototype was used as a company coal trestle as well as a turntable runoff trestle.
